10/27 Cookie decorating workshop

Beginner Level Halloween Cookie Class

When: Sunday, October 27, 2024 (5:00 – 7:30)

Where: Crafty Chick Gifts & Craft Studio (1102 North Hwy 190 STE H, Covington, LA 70433)

Cost: $60.00/per person (every person needs to be registered; no sharing)

In this beginner level class, we will review the basics of cookie decorating using royal icing.  No prior experience with cookie decorating is necessary and all supplies will be provided!  We will provide hands-on experience through decorating the six pictured cookies.  We will practice basic piping and flooding techniques using two different icing consistencies.  In addition, you will learn techniques to add texture and dimension to your cookies. Students will take home their six decorated cookies, a cookie decorating scribe, and a small token of appreciation.  A handout that includes a cookie recipe, icing recipe, tips, and resources will be available to all registered students at the class.  

Class will take place Sunday, October 27, 2024, from 5:00-7:30PM. Please do your best to arrive a few minutes early to get your seat when the doors open. However, keep in mind that we will be prepping inside and may not allow anyone to come in until a few minutes before the event. There is another workshop scheduled prior to this one and we will need time to prep so that you have an organized event to enjoy.

Food and drinks are allowed. However, keep in mind that this event will utilize the teaching strategy “I do, you do”; therefore, you will want to stay focused so that you don’t fall behind on instruction. But don’t worry, we will maintain a fun, relaxing atmosphere and allow breaks!! We know what you are thinking…. Yes, we are teachers!! 😊

All sales are final. No refunds will be given; however, if something does come up and you are unable to make it to class, you may make arrangements to transfer your spot to another student.  Please notify us if you transfer your spot so the class attendee list can be updated.  Please note in this case if a personalized cookie/item is distributed, the original ticket holder’s name will be on it unless we are notified in advance and are able to make the change. We reserve the right to cancel this class due to illness or low enrollment in which case you will be given a full refund.
